November 2019 - It's My Park Day

South Austin Neighborhood Park is located adjacent to W. Bouldin Creek in the Galindo Neighborhood at Cumberland and South 5th. It is also home to the South Austin Recreation Center and the South Austin Tennis Center. The park has playscapes, playing fields and lovely wooded areas that need to be cleared of understory plants. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes that cover your feet. Bring a water bottle and work gloves. Water to re-fill your water bottles will be provided. Austin Parks Foundation will provide snacks, trash bags and other supplies. Water and restrooms are located at the Recreation Center or Tennis Center. The registration table will be adjacent to the playscape located behind the Recreation Center. Please be aware that a soccer tournament is scheduled for the same day for the playing field at the west end of the park. Plenty of parking should be available along Cumberland. 10:00am-1:00pm.
